Former President John Dramani Mahama will resume his campaign tour of the Ashanti region tomorrow, Friday, November 20, 2020.
In a statement signed by Kwame Zu, the NDC’s Ashanti regional secretary, the party noted that Mahama will meet with traditional and religious leaders, party members and other identifiable groups in the region during the tour.
John Mahama called off his six-day campaign tour of the Ashanti region last week following the passing of NDC founder, former President Jerry John Rawlings.
“The Ashanti Regional Secretariat of the NDC announces, for the information of the grassroots of our great party and the people of the Ashanti Region, that the leader and standard-bearer of the NDC, and the next president of Ghana, HE John Dramani Mahama will will do as of Friday, November 20, 2020, continue his campaign tour of the Ashanti region for the 2020 elections, ”the party’s statement announced.
“His Excellency John Mahama is expected to continue his interactions with traditional and religious leaders, chiefs and opinion leaders, professional groups, artisans, party members and supporters among other interest groups,” the party added.
