Mahama acts like a child crying over spilled milk – John Boadu

The general secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (PNP) has beaten the presidential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama’s insistence that he won the 2020 presidential elections.

John Boadu in a press conference on Tuesday condemned the outbreaks of protests that the NDC is carrying out across the country, and further described the Party’s stance not to seek legal redress as “childish.”

According to him, the power lies solely with the court to revoke the Electoral Commission’s statement, therefore, if Mr. Mahama and the NDC want to challenge the results, they must adopt the legal means.

He also mocked the opposition presidential candidate, noting that “the courts do not operate according to the whims of a presidential candidate who behaves like a child crying over candy or spilled milk.

“The courts function according to the evidence,” he added.

Election Commissioner Jean Mensa called the 2020 presidential election for Nana Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party on Wednesday.

Since then, the NDC, at various press conferences, has rejected the statement calling it a stolen verdict and promising to exploit all available options to challenge the declared results.

However, they have so far avoided discussing their legal options.

In reaction to this, the Secretary General challenged Mr. Mahama to reveal the exact number that he believes the EC has stolen from him.

He indicated that the fact that the former president has not provided credible data to support his claims “further strengthens his reputation as incompetent.”

“When asked yesterday at VOA, all he said was that he was doing an audit. Almost 10 days have passed after the elections, we, the PNP, in 12 hours knew exactly the number of votes that our presidential candidate obtained. We had all the pink sheets from the more than 38,000 polling stations in Ghana. “

“This is how a competent government and party behaves. Now, it puzzles me that John Mahama is incompetent in the government and even worse in the opposition. “
