Luis Suárez has been talking about Atlético de Madrid’s upcoming clash against Barcelona and admits that he will not celebrate if he scores against his former team.
The two clubs will meet immediately after the international break at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium on November 21.
It will be the first time that Suárez has faced Barça since his signing in the summer, and he admits that it will be a special occasion to face former teammates.
“No, I wouldn’t celebrate it, out of respect for my former teammates and a club that gave me so much. Obviously it’s a special game for me, facing so many friends. But I’m going to give it my all for this shirt, as I have done in every club I’ve played for. I’m having a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to continuing to show the world the quality player that I am ”.

Suárez currently ranks second in the La Liga scorers table with five goals. He is at the height of his teammate Joao Félix and another former Barça striker in Paco Alcácer. Mikel Oyarzabal of Real Sociedad leads the way with six.
