The Wolves goalkeeper collided with Conor Coady after Mohamed Salah passed the ball to the back of the net, causing a nearly 15-minute stoppage when Patricio was treated on the field.
The Portuguese goalkeeper was carried off the field on a stretcher after Salah annulled the goal for offside. Santo confirmed after the game that Patricio was “conscious” and “conscious.”
He told Sky Sports:
“We just got an update now, it’s okay. You’re aware, remember what happened, you’re aware of what happened, you’re aware, so it’s okay.
“It was Coady’s knee to the head, but he’s fine, we already talked, so he’s fine. All these situations where there’s a concussion to the head, we’re all concerned, but he’s fine, he’s going to recover, it’s good.
