Liverpool are expected to make some signings in the January transfer window with various members of their squad suffering injuries in the early months of the season, most notably from center-backs Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez. But what players could get for free to plug those holes in Jurgen Klopp’s side?
Ezequiel Garay
If it’s experience at the highest level and a cool head in the back, then look no further than former Real Madrid player Garay.
Liverpool need a new center-back in January with all three current senior options injured.
And Garay would certainly fill a void, even if it was only until the end of the season.
The only downside is that he is 34 years old and probably not the smartest anymore.
Bruno Uvini
Brazilian defender Uvini has spent the past three years hanging around the Saudi league as his career appears to be on the wane.
But a few years ago, the 29-year-old played for Napoli and Brazil, and even signed on loan from Tottenham in 2012.
Uvini appears to be the type of center-back who never reached his full potential, but could he save his career with a move to Liverpool?
