Frank Lampard is not happy
Chelsea lost 1-0 last night to Everton.
And coach Frank Lampard was no more satisfied after the loss.
Jurgen Klopp and others had suggested that Chelsea was among the favorites to take the title this term. And many observers have pointed to the quality Lampard has at his disposal.
But the Blues boss criticized those prospects. Said yesterday:
“It’s a long season. If it makes some people who talk about us think ‘we’re going to win the league, we have the best squad in the league,’ it’s ridiculous because, when you talk about the best squads, you have to look at the teams that have won it in the last two, three, four years.
“Midfielders who have won league titles everywhere, experienced people who have won them and the Champions League. We have some, we have some, but we also have young players and we are not here as a squad.
“If you ask me in a couple of years and I’m still here and we’ve won a couple of leagues, I’d say yes, but right now people want to see our team and talk about it.”
