Leo Messi is the captain of both Barcelona and the Argentine national team, but his calm nature often calls into question his leadership ability.

“He is a born leader,” Martínez told EFE about Messi, and hopes that he will stay in the set-up “for many more years.”

Martínez has won an international match with Argentina, but this time he cannot join the Albiceleste due to COVID restrictions, and the 22-year-old is desperate to rejoin his national team at the next opportunity.
“It would be a dream come true,” he said.
