Lionel Messi will be in Seville this weekend, there is no doubt about that. Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman has summoned the entire squad to travel to the final of the Spanish Super Cup this weekend at La Cartuja against Athletic Club de Bilbao.
The great unknown is whether he will be able to play having missed the semifinal injured. That is your goal, but it all depends on how you feel on game day.
The Barça captain asked to retire against Granada last Saturday, although at the time it seemed a scare and was named in the squad to face Real Sociedad.
However, he did not appear in Córdoba after feeling pain in training the day before the game and in the end he was not even named to the bench while Barça advanced on penalties.
Barça has not issued any medical statement on the severity or nature of the injury and it all comes down to speculation.

On Thursday Messi put his feelings to the test in the training field and they were better. On Friday, he worked alone instead of training with the team before the final.
Messi wants to be available to play for Athletic but the decision will be made at the last minute. There is more optimism than on Wednesday, but nothing is certain.
He plans to train with his teammate on Saturday night in Seville and make a decision on Sunday, when the team will do a light session the morning of the game.
