Media personality Toke Makinwa has condemned the arrest of Macaroni and other End SARS protesters by Nigerian police on Saturday at the Lekki toll gate.

Macaroni was arrested along with some protesters at the Lekki tollbooth on Saturday morning.

Makinwa, in reaction, accused the Nigerian government of constantly seeking to make its citizens bleed.

The fashion enthusiast insisted that Nigerian police were arresting peaceful protesters who voted for the governor of Lagos state, Babajide-Sanwo-Olu, in office.

On his Twitter page, Makinwa wrote: “A government constantly looking for how to make its citizens bleed, bad government, police brutality, poverty, extortion, lack of employment, failed educational system and the list is endless, what is our offense? #EndSARS #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria #Lekkitollgate ”.

“Nigeria can really put you to the test, Lagos state government, you need the youth, @jidesanwoolu police to arrest peaceful protesters who voted for you is a cheap blow, it is an abuse of our fundamental right to peacefully protest #EndSARS #Lekkitollgat. “

“A couple of days ago Obalende was on fire, who did you arrest? Where were the police ???? This is so exhausting that our tired is tired. #Freetheprotesters #EndSARS #EndPoliceBrutality ”.
