A representative sample of Twitter users have come to the platform to express their disgust at the recent intermittent power outages in the country.
Most of the country has experienced power outages as a result of some technical challenges and ongoing expansion works by Ghana Grid Company Limited.
But these recent cuts have not been well received by many Ghanaians, as they remind them of the erratic power outages suffered in 2015 under the John Mahama era.
Despite this, the current Akufo-Addo administration has been on the receiving end of the backlash due to intermittent power outages.
Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo), on the other hand, was not spared as some of the tweets lamented the streaming company for not being truthful about the true status of events.
But the government has assured citizens that it will not go back to ‘dumsor’, but will only face some technical challenges on the transmission lines.
One user wrote; “If it was Mahama from3, Mahama turned off the light but Akuffo Addo from3 ECG”
Another wrote: “The politicization of dumsor will not solve the problem. Let’s hold the current leadership accountable and leave Mahama alone. “
See some reactions below:
Mahama was about to solve the dumsor problem you took it out and chose Akuffo-Addo now Akuffo-Addo has given you dumsor 2.0 take it in peace ????????????? pic.twitter.com/TFeHkfebL7

Mahama brought new power badges to solve the dumsor and we had excess power, but they can’t even handle it. Mahama suffered greatly at the hands of the Ghanaians #Dumsor pic.twitter.com/gfG3QfHCRV

The difference between Mahama Dumsor and Nana Dumsor is that while the former told you the problem, made schedules to prepare for the problem, and went ahead to fix the problem, the second is to deny the existence of the problem and use PR to lick your brain. . Don’t be fooled

Now I get power (light) from 5 to 7 hours in 24 hours. But they make me believe that it is a technical failure and not #dumsor, because Mahama is not the president.

The politicization of dumdor will not solve the problem. Let’s hold the current leadership accountable and leave Mahama alone.

You can’t even handle Mahama’s power barges to give us stable power. How can the 8 break?
