The 31-year-old ended his season as a player in Milan after struggling to secure regular first-team action in Antonio Conte’s squad.

Kwadwo Asamoah ended his two years at Inter Milan with a farewell note to fans of the Serie A club on Friday.

The Ghana international can now join any club without any transfer fees after struggling to secure a place in the first team in Antonio Conte’s team.

Asamoah was restricted to just 11 appearances in all competitions in the 2019-20 season, including eight Serie A matches, and all came in the first half of the campaign before 2020.

Despite the sad end of his time with the team, the 31-year-old thanked the club, his teammates and the fans for the love they showed him at the San Siro Stadium.

“I want to thank all the staff, the club, my teammates and lastly all the Nerazzurri fans, they are great! Good luck with everything, ”Asamoah wrote on Instagram.

Asamoah joined Inter Milan on a free transfer from Juventus in the summer of 2018 after winning six Serie A titles with the Bianconeri.

The versatile Accra-born star began his European playing career in Switzerland with Bellinzona before moving to Italy to join Torino and Udinese in 2008.

Four years later, he moved to Allianz Stadium to enjoy domestic success with Juventus between 2012 and 2018.

Following his departure from Inter Milan, Russia and Portugal are two notable countries whose transfer windows remain open, until October 17 and 25, respectively, and Asamoah could look to greener pastures in European countries before their deadlines.
