Former President John Agyekum Kufour has joined several Ghanaians in congratulating President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo on his re-election.
In a tweet on Thursday, the former president congratulated President-elect AKufo-Addo on his victory in the 2020 elections.

“Congratulations to the president-elect @NAkufoAddo you deserve it, “said his tweet.
The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (PNP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, was declared the winner of the 2020 general elections.
He got 6,730,413, which is 51.59% of the total cast valid nationwide on December 7.
His closest contender, John Mahama of the Democratic National Congress (NDC) got 6,214,889 which gave him 47.36% of the total votes cast.
Election Commissioner Jean Mensa announced the results on Wednesday night.
He added that Techiman South’s results are outstanding as they are being contested.
However, the opposition NDC says that the result is flawed and therefore will not accept the results.
