Mohammed Kudus became the most expensive Ghanaian teenage footballer when he made a € 9 million transfer from Danish Nordsjaelland to Ajax Amsterdam.

It’s a move that has been praised by soccer experts as a good leap for a player with a promising soccer career.

Kudus is considered one of the best talents in the world and is among the finalists for the 2020 Ballon d’Or award.

It is common knowledge in the soccer space that not all players can adapt quickly when they join new clubs.

Nordsjaelland’s jump to Ajax is huge and Kudus could take such early blows, but Laryea Kingston, a Ghana soccer legend, hopes his transition from Denmark to the Netherlands will be smooth.

Laryea, who now works for Right to Dream, the soccer academy that nurtured Kudus, believes the 19-year-old has the skills and mindset to start running at Ajax.

Laryea says the Nima-born midfielder is fortunate to have a tough mindset to face the challenges that may arise in his early days at Ajax.

“Being with Right to Dream from the age of eleven gave him all the fundamentals of soccer.

“His skills go beyond the football field because he is mentally strong and knows how to relate to people.

“This is a good move for him and I hope he adapts quickly,” he revealed to Citi Sports.

Even before the Dutch season starts, Kudus is already earning accolades from his coach, Erik Ten Haag.

Haag is impressed by the talent of the young man who scored his first goal for Ajax in a preseason friendly with German club Frankfurt.

“I have seen the same as you. It was an excellent performance from Kudus. He still has to figure out a bit how to position himself, but if he integrates more into our style of play, he will grow to an even higher level, ”he said after the game.
