Villarreal and Getafe have reportedly reached an agreement for the transfer of the loan officer Takefusa Kubo to Real Madrid.
The Japanese international has not played regularly with Unai Emery at the Estadio de la Cerámica, playing 700 minutes, starting seven games and scoring a goal in the first half of the season.
According to Onda Cero, Real Madrid has not given the green light for Kubo to move from Villarreal to Getafe for the rest of the campaign.
As MARCA already reported, there had been a stumbling block in the loan commission of 2.5 million euros that Villarreal initially paid to Real Madrid.
Villarreal wanted to recoup half that amount if Kubo left in January. The president of Getafe, Ángel Torres, has agreed to pay the Yellow Submarine bonuses depending on how the forward does during the rest of the season.
Kubo could become a Getafe player as of Monday, which is when he is expected to make the trip to Madrid to finalize the play.
