Kumasi Asante Kotoko has paid off all debts owed to former CEO George Amoako, according to Modernghana Sports.
The seasoned soccer manager served as the CEO of the Porcupine Warriors club for most of Dr. Kwame Kyei’s first term in office as club president.
However, following the appointment of a new board by Manhyia, they decided to relieve George Amoako of his position, as well as the entire management team.
Upon leaving office in July 2020, it is understood that the former CEO is owed back wages of up to 5 months.
After months of talks about a liquidation plan, George Amoako finally acknowledged receipt of all the money owed to him.
“Yes, it’s true. The board of directors has paid the money they owed me. They have paid everything,” he said in an interview with Oyerepa FM.
After leaving Asante Kotoko, George Amoako has been appointed CEO of King Faisal Football Club, where he now runs the club together with its owner, Alhaji Karim Grusah.
