Fans and management members of the Ghanaian giants were disappointed at Kotoka International Airport after their newly hired Brazilian midfielder was unable to make his trip to the West African country.
Asante Kotoko’s new signing, Fabio Gama, missed his flight from Addis Ababa to Accra after club officials and fans waited at the airport for several hours.
The 28-year-old was scheduled to arrive in Ghana at 11:00 am Monday morning, but was unable to board the flight.
According to a report presented by Ashh FM, the former Brazil U17 star was unable to reach the Asante Kotoko management led by Nana Yaw Amponsah previously due to lack of internet connectivity at her current location in Ethiopia.

Asante Kotoko began the 2020/21 campaign with a 1-1 draw at home with Eleven Wonders on Sunday.
Coach Maxwell Konadu and his teammates will face Berekum Chelsea in the second week of matches this weekend.
Gama joined Asante Kotoko on a free transfer after finishing his stint at the Swedish Jonkoping IF in Superettan.
His contract with Asante Kotoko will expire in the summer of 2022.
Gama has previously performed for Varnamo, ABC FC, SE GAMA, EC Bahia, Botafogo, among others.
