It is an open secret that former first lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings has presidential ambitions.
As revealed in Ahwoi’s book ‘Working with Rawlings’, Nana Konadu had a big dream of succeeding her husband when his tenure came to an end in 2000.
However, he suffered a setback after Rawlings and other bigwigs in the Democratic National Congress opted for the late John Evans Atta Mills.
Agyemang Rawlings once again challenged Mills for the 2012 NDC flagger job, but came out with a measly 3% of the total votes cast.
The humiliation of that Sunyani congress forced Konadu Rawlings to create his own party, the National Democratic Party, but he got nothing from the 2016 polls.
On Friday, September 4, 2020, she was hailed by the NDP as the standard bearer for the 2020 elections.
But Franklin Cudjoe recognizes that his experience and knowledge are better suited for the work of parliamentarians.
In a post on his Twitter page, Franklin Cudjoe said:
“I strongly believe that HE Ms. Konadu Agyemang Rawlings will be a good MP.”
I firmly believe that the Hon. Ms. Konadu Agyemang Rawlings will be a good MP.
