Ronald Koeman takes his Barça team to the Wanda Metropolitano to face an Atlético de Madrid who are going to lose at home this season.
The Blaugrana coach has several selection problems to resolve after the international break, especially in attacking positions.
The right side is the only space in the rear four that is currently in play. It will be Sergino Dest or Sergi Roberto who will play alongside Gerard Piqué, Clement Lenglet and Jordi Alba. The first would be the most offensive option, while the second the most conservative.
In midfield, Koeman will be without Sergio Busquets, who suffered a knee injury while on international service with Spain. Miralem Pjanic will take his place in the team, accompanying Frenkie de Jong in the midfield pivot.
If Koeman chooses to keep his 4-2-3-1 formation, he will have some decisions to make in the future. Ansu Fati is not available for the next few months, leaving Pedri and Philippe Coutinho as candidates to play on the left wing. The Brazilian was a regular on the team before injuring himself in late October.
Everything indicates that the rest of the attack will be formed by Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele. The former Borussia Dortmund striker has no certainty of being a starter against Atlético, Trincao being another option for Koeman.
