KiDi has turned to his Twitter account to apologize for his comments about rapper Sarkodie in 2012, 2013 and 2014 on the platform.

According to him, when he made those publications, he did not realize how negative it would affect the people he spoke about.

“But life has taught me to always appreciate the hustle and bustle of people and never speak ill of another person,” KiDi wrote in his apology.

The ‘Say Cheese‘ received a backlash from Sarkodie’s fans after unearthing his old tweets about the rapper.

In 2012, when Sarkodie won the BET Awards, KiDi wrote: “So Sarkodie won the BET Award last night …!!!!!! ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡!!!

In 2013, when R2Bees was nominated alongside the Ice Prince of Nigeria, 2Face Idibia, Toya Delazy of South Africa, Donald and Goodlyfe Crew of Uganda, KiDi expected the group to win.

He said that would silence Sarkodie about being the only Ghanaian artist with a BET. But as fate will have it, they lost.

KiDi Sark Tweets

Some people unearthed the tweets when KiDi was dealing with the consequences of being fired from a radio interview.

He received a backlash from the Sark natives who said that he (KiDI) hated the rapper.

However, some social media users have also come to his defense arguing that while there are a few tweets showing that he was a fan of Sarkodie, KiDi definitely appreciated the rapper’s work.

Some have said that you shouldn’t have apologized for having a different opinion or musical taste.
