Kevin Campbell told the Highbury Squad that Joe Willock is a forward’s dream to play with, hinting that the Arsenal youngster conjures up memories of Aaron Ramsey with the runs he does.
It is possible that Willock really hoped to start this period after appearing in 29 Premier League games last season. However, he has largely had to wait for the Europa League ties to emerge for opportunities with Mikel Arteta.

It seems like it’s a matter of time before he can make his first Premier League appearance this season. And Campbell insisted that he could be the type of player who brings out the best in Alexandre Lacazette.

“Joe Willock, I’m telling you now, you can see he’s starting to grow in that role when he enters the team now,” he told the Highbury Squad. “It is the dream of a forward. Honestly, when he plays and with Lacazette, it makes Lacazette’s job 50 percent easier, because he runs further, a bit like Ramsey used to. Willock has energy to burn, he runs after. It is very difficult to pick it up.
“I like this young player. It’s another, you never see him moan, moan or anything He goes on with it. He gets into the team and is always involved in goals ”.

Arsenal have 12 games to go before the turn of the year. Eight of them are Premier League matches. So imagine Willock getting another shot at the top flight sooner rather than later.
Of course, it won’t be easy for the young man to make his way into Arteta’s plans steadily. Arsenal has a lot of depth in the middle of the park.
But if he can impress in the league in the same way that he has in Europe when an opportunity presents itself, it might not be long before Willock clinches a prominent role in that midfield pecking order once again.
