Juventus forward Álvaro Morata has received a two-match penalty for his sending-off against Benevento on Sunday.
The Spaniard scored the first goal against Streghe, but Gaetano Letizia’s draw just before half-time prevented the Bianconeri from getting all three points.
However, the fireworks did not end there, as Morata received a direct red card after the final whistle for comments made towards the referee.
La Gazzetta dello Sport informs that the Disciplinary Commission has assigned the sanction due to “a disrespectful expression towards the referee at the end of the match”.
The news means Morata will miss Juve’s Derby della Mole clash with Torino, as well as the next game against Genoa.
Tolgay Arslan from Udinese and Pasquale Schiattarella from Benevento have also been suspended for one match.
