Paulo Dybala has reiterated his desire to meet with former Juventus teammate Paul Pogba.
The Manchester United midfielder was closely tied to a withdrawal, however, the coronavirus crisis is likely to prevent him from leaving this summer.
Along with Real Madrid, Juve has been associated with the World Cup winner and Dybala is eager to join Pogba again.
In an interview with the UEFA website, Dybala revealed a Red Devils kit that Pogba gave him after the two clubs faced off in the Champions League group stage last season.
Argentine international Dybala said: “I couldn’t ignore a shirt like this, of course.
“He is from Manchester, from my friend Paul, whom I admire more as a person than as a soccer player.
“I had the opportunity to share great things with him and I hope to be able to repeat it someday.”
Dybala scored the winning goal that night when Juventus ran out of winners 1-0 at Old Trafford.
The couple was a teammate for a year before Pogba completed his world record move of £ 89 million to the United States in August 2016.
Dybala’s latest comments are not the first time he has spoken of his hope to return to play alongside Pogba.
In April, he said, “I hope that one day we can celebrate together again.”
And last year, Dybala said: “We have been keeping in touch since he left.
“We are still very close and who knows, maybe in the future we can play together on the same team again.”
United are known to have nearly signed Dybala last summer, however if he went to Old Trafford it could lead Pogba in the opposite direction.
