Justice Nasiru Sulemana Gbadegbe, who will be the judge of Ghana’s Supreme Court, cries Thursday as he takes a final bow on the bench for serving the wet African nation for 31 years and four months.
Judge Gbadegbe, who turned 70 on December 8 and served as a Supreme Court Justice for 11 years, advised members of de Bench and Bar never to compromise the requirements of justice.
The court judge speaks to journalists after the Accra Supreme Court farewell ruling, pleads with Bench and Bar members to embrace ethical discipline, courage, speak the truth and serve with humility.
Judge Gbadegbe did not say why he shed tears, but when Dema asked me what the largest trial in history was, the answer said no.
According to retired judge Nasiru Sulemana Gbadegbe, he himself will submit to public discipline after taking office at De Bench in 1989 as a judge of the Koforidua High Court.

Gbadegbe picks up the nomination in 2009 for the then president of Ghana, John Evans Atta Mills [wey don die]. It was examined on Monday, October 12, 2009 and unanimously approved by Parliament on October 30 of that year. He was sworn in by the then president on November 2, 2009
