Joy Sports Hosts First National Transfer Deadline Day Show in Ghanaian Television History

A dramatic conclusion to the end of Ghana’s transfer window was well documented in the first program of the day of Ghana’s transfer deadline, the Joy Sports GPL countdown that aired on Joy News.

The Joy Sports team, in association with the Ghana Football Association, had the entire country tuned in as information came in on player transfers and tactical forms.

The habit of Transfer Countdown programs has become a common practice for the Joy Sports team, as over the years the program has focused on the European transfer window.

This time, things were different and for the first time in Ghana, there was a TV show to help Ghanaian Premier League fans count down to the end of the transfer window.

The two-hour program was hosted by George Addo Jnr and Gary Al Smith alongside a panel of experts from the Ghana Premier League.

The show’s biggest story saw Sammy Anim Addo, Asamoah Gyan’s agent, reveal the details of the player’s transfer to Legon Cities.

Ghanaians took to social media to thank team Joy Sports for an unprecedented transfer program that educated them about the Ghana Premier League.

The Transfer Countdown, GPL edition was the second of four shows that were prepared for the Ghana Premier League season.

On Friday night, the GPL Primer edition, Hearts brought together Phobia fans. On November 6 it will be Porcupine Warriors’ turn when the GPL Primer, Kotoko edition arrives. Then it all concludes with the Omnibus edition on November 13, which will look at the rest of the Ghana Premier League clubs.
