Ghana youth international Joseph Paintsil recorded his third league goal for MKE Ankaragücü in Turkey’s top flight on Saturday night.
MKE Ankaragücü managed to beat Konyaspor 4-3 in the 10th week clash at the Eryaman Stadium.
Saba Lobzhanidze scored the first goal for the home, but Ugur Demirok converted a penalty shot to Konyaspor in the 29th minute as Deni Milosevic doubled the lead as the visitors ended the first half with a 2-1 lead.
Three minutes after the break, Torgeir Boerven tied the score for the blue and yellow, but Nejc Skubic restored the lead for the visitors once again.
Paintsil registered his name on MKE Ankaragücü’s score sheet in the 78th minute before his teammate Emre Gural converted a late penalty to hand them their first win of the 2020/21 season.
The former striker for Tema Juvenil was introduced in the 77th minute as a replacement for Torgeir Boerven.
Paintsil has scored three goals in his 7 appearances for MKE Ankaragücü in his debut season.
He joined the Turkish club on a one-season loan deal from Belgian top league team KRC Genk.
