The former Ghana U20 star is set to complete his loan transfer to Turkish Super Lig club in the ongoing summer transfer window.

Ghana youth international Joseph Paintsil has overtaken MKE Ankaragücü ahead of his one-year loan deal from KRC Genk.

The 22-year-old arrived in Turkey today to undergo a mandatory medical examination before his change on loan to the Eryaman Stadium team.

Paintsil was declared in excess of the requirement at KRC Genk after his poor performance last period.

He joined KRC Genk from Ghana’s second division club Tema Youth FC during the 2018 summer transfer window but has been struggling with the Belgian giants.

KRC Genk won the race to sign the Ghanaian international to a four-year contract from Tema Youth FC following a successful loan deal at Hungarian Ferencváros.

He has participated 23 times with KRC Genk last season, scoring just one goal with one assist.

Paintsil’s contract with KRC Genk will expire in the summer of 2022
