Forward Joseph Esso has been rated the best player in the current 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season by Dreams FC head coach Winfred Dormon.

Esso, who joined Dawu’s team this summer from Hearts of Oak, has shown glimpses of exactly what the team needed.

Joseph Esso scored to give Dreams FC an early lead in the 36th minute. His second goal of the season after scoring last weekend in a 2-1 win over Medeama SC.

But the lead lasted three minutes when Franklyn Osei tied with a delicious free kick to level for the host.

The midfielder scored again in the 65th minute to give Karela United the lead and ultimately held on to secure victory.

Despite the loss, Dormon further stated that Esso lives up to expectations.

“As I said before, he is the best player in the Premier League and he always steps up to prove it,” Dormon said after his team’s loss to Karela United.

“It’s good to see him score and live up to expectations. A goal from him is gradually taking pressure off him and I will always encourage him to do more. ‘

Dreams are now turning their attention to the next game against Legon Cities at Dawu Park on Sunday.

Dormon wants a good reaction from his boys.
“I’m waiting for a reaction from the guys against Legon Cities and I know we are going to come through.

“We had many occasions in the first half that we should have buried the game. It’s worrying, but I believe in my guys to deliver against Legon Cities. ” Winfred
