Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew has revealed what drives him to excel in his profession as a footballer.
Ayew says that every time he enters the field he gives everything because he does not want to regret anything in the future.
The Black Stars forward says fear of regret motivates him to play well and score goals.
“I promised myself that when I stop playing this game, I will make sure I don’t regret it.” Said in an interview.
“My duty is to make sure that every weekend when I step onto the court for any game, be it for the Black Stars or my club, I have to make sure I am at my best every time.
“I’m going to make sure to kill myself on the field every weekend and that’s a promise I made to myself and for now that’s the direction I’m headed.” He concluded.
Jordan’s “fear of regret” prompted him to achieve remarkable success last season.
He broke the record for the most goals by a Ghanaian player in the Premier League and also emerged as the best player at Crystal Palace.
Jordan also won the Palace players’ player of the year with his wonderful goal against West Ham winner of the goal of the year.
Jordan will be in action when Palace meets Manchester United in their second game of the 2020/2021 season.
