Abdul Mumin, a highly skilled Ghanaian defender, has described his move to Vitória de Guimarães as a major step in his career.

The central entrepreneur joined the Portuguese giant as a free agent after parting ways with Danish FC Nordsjaelland this summer.

Mumin signed a four-year contract with Vitória de Guimarães after rejecting offers from Sheffield United in the Premier League and Monaco in France.

Ahead of his debut season, Mumin has vowed to do his best for the club.

“I think it’s a step higher than my previous team and it’s an environment that demands a lot from the players around me and I also like challenges, so I think it was the best step for me.

The 21-year-old also reiterated that the club will help him realize his full potential.

“Personally, I think the club will help me develop my potential and reach another level in my development, so it was the perfect environment to choose.

“There are a lot of young guys and experienced players here so it’s good to be around experienced players to learn from them and with the staff and coaches around, I will learn day by day,” he added.

He is destined to become one of the best African defenders in the world by following his progress over the years.
