The standard bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. John Dramani Mahama, is committed to the transformation of the Volta region, said Kafui Agbleze, Volta Regional Communications Officer.
He said that the party’s manifesto had resonated well with the people of the Volta region and the country as a whole, as it reflected their aspirations.
Mr. Agbleze, who addressed a press conference in Ho on the topic: “Location of the Volta region in the NDC manifesto”, said that the manifesto contained many positive things for the people of the region.
Therefore, he called on the people to vote for John Dramani Mahama and the NDC parliamentary candidates on December 7 to bring the party back to power and continue its transformational agenda to improve the economy and improve lives.
The communication officer said that the next NDC-led administration would build an irrigation dam in Kpli, Dekpor, Weta and Afife in the Ketu North constituency.
It would also carry out agricultural mechanization in certain sectors of the Region to enable farmers to carry out their agricultural activities with ease.
He said the NDC would establish a military hospital in Ho, provide hospitals to the districts, and complete the Akatsi hospital project to bring quality health care closer to the people.
Mr. Agbleze said that the people of Aflao would benefit from an ultra-modern market as the community was one of the border communities that contributed huge income to the development of the economy.
The communication officer said that the people of Tongor-Dzemeni would benefit from a fishing port, while Sogakope and Kpando Torkor would have a modern fish market to enable traders to conduct their business in a serene environment to earn a decent living. .
Agbleze said that the party, when voted for power, would build a special-purpose port in Keta to improve economic activities in that region’s enclave to transform people’s lives and prevent ships from sister countries from traveling to Tema. or Takoradi to refuel. .
He said the NDC will establish a digital and innovation hub for the Region and provide high and high schools with free laptops and Wi-Fi to promote quality teaching and learning.
