Ghanaian musician Enoch Nana Yaw Oduro-Agyei, popularly known as Trigmatic, congratulates actor John Dumelo for his efforts in the 2020 elections.
John Dumelo hoped to enter Parliament with the candidacy of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency in the Greater Accra region, but was thwarted by incumbent MP Lydia Alhassan.
Dumelo got 37,778 votes to Lydia Alhassan’s 39,851 and although she lost, she has received a lot of praise from her peers and fans for how well she did, considering it was her first effort. It is in light of this that Trigmatic says it should be animated.
“I think John Dumelo did well to win those massive votes on his first appearance on the NDC ballot. We should encourage him to do more, who knows, he could win in the next election.
“Personally, I like his daring to compete as a creative person. I always tell my colleagues that you can’t entertain your fans and not be interested in their well-being and that’s what John wanted to do, ”he said. Graphic showbiz.

According to Trigmatic, John Dumelo shouldn’t give up, but rather work hard and go again for the next four years. “John should seize the opportunity and compete again in 2024. He shouldn’t be discouraged at all because he did so well.
“Being his first time, it wasn’t going to be easy, but this is the time when John should be closer to his people and work hard. He has no pressure on his hands because he lost and this is a good opportunity to warm up his people by approaching them, ”he said.
He also encouraged artists to pursue politics. “There are many celebrities around the world who are involved in politics and I like the fact that they can also speak their minds about the policies that affect change.
“The likes of Nigerian actor Desmond Elliot, American actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was the former governor of California and a host of other celebrities are examples,” he said.
