I doubt that John Dumelo himself had the firm conviction that he would occupy that seat in Ayawaso West on the first try. That zone is not the place you fit in, switch to an NDC zone in just 4 years.

Ayawaso West Wuogon’s seat has not been contested since 2000. The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has held that parliamentary seat since 2000.
Earlier during the 2020 general election voting process, on December 7, 2020, John Dumelo suggested that voting processes should be stopped in the constituency he was contesting for lack of indelible ink.
However, the Electoral Commission denied this claim.
