The president of the Electoral Commission (EC) has offered an apology to the minority in Parliament for not being present to receive their petition on Tuesday.
The Commission had previously argued that the notice for filing was too short for the arrangement necessary to facilitate reception, as its senior officials were not in the office.
This comes after the police stopped NDC deputies when they embarked on a march to present a petition to the head of the EC.
Dressed in red and black, the opposition MPs walked as a group to the Commission’s headquarters at Ridge in Accra.
