Former Black Stars defender Emmanuel Ampiah has criticized the Ghana Football Association for its decision to reprimand coach JE Sarpong for allegations he made that most Ghanaian Premier League players smoke. Indian hemp.

JE Sarpong, in an interview with Angel FM in June this year, hinted that more than 60% of Ghana’s elite league players smoke ‘pee’.

Coach Sarpong’s comment angered some Ghanaian Premier League players who criticized him for making baseless accusations.

Subsequently, the FA invited him to substantiate his claims, after which they found him guilty of violating some association codes.

The FA, however, refused to punish him, but warned him not to make such comments in the future.

“The comments were deemed to discredit the game and violate Article 11 (2) (a), (b) and (d) of the GFA Disciplinary Code (2019).”
