James Rodríguez’s Fitness Problems at Everton Give Zidane a Reason – Ghana Latest Football News, Live Score, Results

With Everton not in action until 2021, James Rodríguez ends a year in which he has only played 25 games.

The Colombian has not appeared in fewer games since his debut season at Porto, and injuries were once again a concern in his career.

In the past two years, James has missed up to 37 competitive games through injury with Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Everton.

In fact, the midfielder rarely appears in December, having played very few games in that month for the past three years.

Same story for Bale and Ceballos

Like James, Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid did not trust Gareth Bale and Dani Ceballos, especially because of their physical problems.

This season, José Mourinho and Mikel Arteta have welcomed the two players on loan from Real Madrid to north London, although neither have been regular at their clubs.

Bale has played just 11 times since joining Tottenham, scoring three goals, while Ceballos has played 20 games for Arsenal since the start of this season.

When will James return?

“He will not be available for the next matches,” Carlo Ancelotti said before Everton’s game against Sheffield United, answering the same question.

James has not played since December 5, sustaining his last training injury shortly after that game against Burnley.

Everton’s next game is against West Ham on January 1, but, following Ancelotti’s comments, it is highly unlikely that he will have his number 19 in time.
