SOLSKJAER’S PROMISE TO SANCHO
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spoke to Jadon Sancho to assure him that he was close to reaching a deal.
Borussia Dortmund have been adamant that they will not sell the 20-year-old, who has been charged a starting price of 108 million pounds (AU $ 190 million).
It is already said that personal terms were agreed with Sancho, but so far, the Red Devils have been reluctant to fork out the huge sum of money.
This has led the club to fear losing him next year, and players like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool are known to be interested.
But, according to the Norwegian media outlet Dagbladet via the metro, Solskjaer has been in constant contact with Sancho this summer.
They claim that the former Cardiff player recently assured the English international that he will be a United player at the bottom of the window.
United have until October 5 to secure his services, otherwise they run the risk of not signing him at all.

GUNNERS EYE $ 160 DOUBLE SWOOP
Arsenal will be spending big again this summer with moves for Thomas Partey and Houssem Aouar in the offing.
The Gunners confirmed yesterday that star forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has signed a new three-year contract.
And North Londoners plan to keep spending money to build a star-studded team around them.
The 27-year-old Atlético Partey midfielder has been linked to an Emirates trade for months.
The Ghana ace is interested in the move and with Arsenal still interested, the Gunners could soon meet Atletico’s sale price of £ 50 million ($ A88 million), according to the Mirror.
Lyon’s French ace Aouar is slightly behind Partey on the priority list, although Mikel Arteta is still interested.
Therefore, Arsenal would have to ditch some players to raise cash if they also want to get the 22-year-old 40 million pound (AU $ 71 million) player.
Substitute goalkeeper Emi Martinez has signed for Aston Villa in a £ 20 million deal.
And the Gunners are looking to get even more fringe players off their books to fund any deals before the October 5 deadline.
Sokratis, Lucas Torreira, Shkodran Mustafi, Calum Chambers and Sead Kolasinac are for sale.

VENTILATED TOFFEES FOR CLEANING IN THE MIDDLE FIELD
Everton will be looking to sell players like Alex Iwobi, Moise Kean and Theo Walcott before the October transfer deadline, according to reports.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side got off to a perfect start on Sunday, beating Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 in their first Premier League game.
Midfield rookies Allan, Abdoulaye Doucoure and James Rodriguez impressed when Everton sent the Spurs into their own backyard.
But having spent a lot of money to recruit the names of the three stars, the Toffees would do well to trade in some high-earning players to balance the books.
And according to the Mirror, these expenditures could include two of the signings of soccer director Marcel Brands from just 12 months ago.
Everton spent £ 29 million ($ A51 million) on up-and-coming Juventus forward Kean, 20, last summer.
But with the Italian having scored just twice in 34 appearances, he could already find himself on the way out.
Iwobi, 24, has also struggled to make an impact on Goodison following his £ 40 million ($ A71 million) trade from Arsenal, and Everton will listen to offers for the Nigerian international.
