Traditional rulers in the Mo Traditional area have told Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia that after 28 years of voting for the NDC, it is time to stand behind the NPP to show gratitude for what the Akufo-Addo government has done in the area.

By presenting a robe of the Mo Traditional Authority to Dr. Bawumia in a durbar of chiefs and people from the Mo Traditional area in Kintampo on Thursday October 22, Nana Agyei Adinkra II, Krontihene from the Mo Traditional area, assured Dr. Bawumia of his decision vote for the PNP and be part of the wind of development that blows across the country.

“On behalf of the Chiefs of Traditional Mo area, I present to you this apron, which will always remind you of this visit to Kintampo.

“Not only that, we want to seal it with a promise in front of you that, starting this year, we want to switch to CN so that we can also benefit more from the wind of development blowing in the country and be bigger than the way we Do you see us.

“We thank you very much,” said Nana Agyei Adinkra on behalf of the Mo Traditional Council.

He added: “The most important thing is to fulfill this promise that we have made to you and we can assure you that it will be fulfilled. And when it’s done, don’t forget the folks at Kintampo.

“We assure you with prayers that we will change the way we vote.”

Earlier, Wangara de Kintampo chief Nana Fanyinama III praised the Akufo-Addo government for the development projects it is carrying out in the area, and also requested more, “like Oliver Twist.”

Kintampo’s two constituencies, the north and the south, have consistently voted for the NDC, but speakers from the program, including traditional authorities, opined that there have been no commensurate development projects in the area.

Inclusive development

Vice President Bawumia told the chiefs and the people of the area that despite not voting for the PNP, the Akufo-Addo government believes in a comprehensive development of the nation, which is why it has extended development to all corners of the country .

He added that the comprehensive agenda of the Akufo-Addo government is evident in the number of development projects it has brought to the Mo Traditional area.

Dr. Bawumia thanked the traditional rulers for their appreciation for the good works of President Akufo-Addo and their decision to vote for him and the area’s PNP parliamentary candidates.

The vice president also assured them that Kintampo and the people of Ghana will continue to benefit from further development under the leadership of President Akufo-Addo, so they should join him and vote for the PNP in December.
