The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) says the 2020 elections are about the performance of the top two candidates and not their manifestos.
Depending on the party, any political party can write manifestos, but no political party can make them.
The party adds that the credibility and integrity of presidential candidates are needed to deliver on their promises.
The PNP made it known through a press conference organized today, Monday, September 21.
According to Nana Akomea, executive director of the State Transport Cooperation, who addressed the press conference, said that she urged Ghanaians not to take seriously the promises made by John Mahama.
“John Mahama in 2016 said that Ghanaians should be careful about the promises made by people when they are out of government because they don’t know the reality. So today he’s out of government and he’s making promises. Do we take it seriously? He himself has instructed us (Ghanaians) not to take these people seriously because they do not know reality. what do we do? It is the history that we must look at, not your words. ”
“So that’s the choice before the people of Ghana because when it comes to putting words in manifestos, all politicians can do it, but when you have someone who puts words in a manifesto but has had a chance in government, then you have measured performance in government and the no words in the manifesto. ”
