Inusah Fuseini has yet to honor the CID’s invitation for Mahama’s comments

Tamale Central Member of Parliament Inusah Fuseini has yet to appear at the Ghana Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Department (CID), officials say.

On Wednesday, the legislator was invited to a statement he allegedly made on Pan African Television.

“I have said and advocated that the standard-bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama and the former President of the Republic of Ghana declare themselves president and form a parallel government,” he allegedly said.

In a letter addressed to the President of Parliament, the Director General of the CID, COP Isaac Ken Yeboah, stated that the police are investigating the case and will need the legislator from Tamale Central to assist in the investigations.

But according to the CID’s Chief of Public Affairs, DSP Juliana Obeng, the courtesy given to the MP so far has not been honored.

“We were expecting to see him around 10 am this morning. As you speak to me at this time, we understand that you have not yet reported. We are still waiting for him to come, “he said. JoyNews“Kwesi Parker-Wilson on Thursday.”

The CID Police spokesman also indicated that they have not received any explanation about the reason for the MP’s delay.

Meanwhile, security has been reinforced at the facilities of the CID Police headquarters prior to the appearance of the MP.
