Menzgold’s aggrieved clients have once again broken into Zylofon Media’s premises to demand the release of their blocked funds.
Dressed in red and black suits, members of the Menzgold Coalition of Aggrieved Customers (CACM) displayed the documents necessary to get their money back as they chanted ‘our money, our blood’.
Some people also put sleeping mats on the premises, threatening not to leave until they have received their money.
In an interview with JoyNews’ Manuel Koranteng, the members said that they are struggling to make ends meet and therefore must be paid before the close of the day.
One agitated customer stated that he did not understand why getting his “hard-earned money has become a problem.”
“I’d rather die here demanding my money than die at home,” said another.
Others also accused the president and his vice president of protecting Menzgold’s chief executive, Nana Appiah Mensah, popularly known as NAM 1.
One woman said the group was confident that the government would come to its aid and ensure that NAM 1 was not only charged, but also forced to return its money.
Others also claimed that the government was in bed with the conflicting chief executive to steal their money.
Meanwhile, NAM 1 is expected to reappear in court on Monday, November 1.
He faces 63 counts of money laundering, theft and unauthorized deposit taking.
It is alleged that the accused had taken various sums of money, for a total of GH ¢ 1.6 billion from clients.
