Doreen Tay, a 43-year-old Ghanaian nurse living in the United States of America (USA) died of the new coronavirus within five weeks after contracting the disease.
Theghanareport.com indicates that the female worker left her husband and two children, Rachel and Derron, 13 and 11 years old, respectively.
Doreen becomes the third Ghanaian nurse to work abroad and has succumbed to the global pandemic that is currently affecting the entire world.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported how a very pregnant Ghanaian nurse died after contracting COVID-19 while the baby survived.
In Doreen’s case, she was reportedly sickened on March 14 and taken to the Albert Einstein Montefiore Medical Center in New York, where she worked.
It is indicated that it was during admission that she contracted the pandemic before passing after five weeks.
Dorreen was born in Ghana and graduated from the Jersey College School of Nursing in 2017.

In addition to being a nurse at Montefiore Medical Center, she also worked part-time at the Throgs Neck Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, also in New York.
Joel Bo Djanie, who attends the same church (McOlives Ministries) with Doreen, described her as a kind and generous person in an emotional tribute.
“If there was a formula for life where good, generous, and kind people lived forever, Doreen would surely be one of them, but sadly, there isn’t.” he indicated.
In another report, Amanda, a 24-year-old woman, has been destroyed by drugs after becoming addicted for four months, as a heartbreaking video of her has caused a stir on the Internet.
The video sighted by YEN.com.gh YouTube shows how the young woman was recorded by a photographer named Soft White Underbelly, who shows her various stages of deterioration in the span of 4 months.
While consuming crack, Amanda also revealed that she became a prostitute and, oddly, seemed almost unrecognizable after a short period of participation in the activities.
