A Deputy Minister of Information, Pius Hadzide says that the IMANI Center for Politics and Education should improve the methodology used to evaluate the 2016 manifesto of the New Patriotic Party (PNP) and the promises kept.
According to him, this is because, while an investigation by the think tank showed that the PNP enjoyed a 3% advantage over the NDC, the Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) gave the party a score 15% on the opposition’s NDC. .
Speaking to Joy News’s Evans Mensah, Hadzide said it was time for IMANI Ghana to move towards empirical data and conduct public surveys to learn and understand the true representation of people.
According to him, IMANI also had a tendency to go beyond the PNP manifesto and introduce statements and policies that they believe can be classified in the party’s manifesto.
“The CDD-Ghana in a similar investigation used a different methodology, they went to the people of Ghana and interviewed the respondents and it was clear that the NPP had a 15% advantage over the NDC in terms of public confidence in the ability to Either party is concerned about fulfilling their campaign promises, ”he emphasized.
