John Mahama’s 2020 campaign team has debunked posts that the party’s standard bearer shared some money on Monday.
“The public should ignore false, misleading and malicious posts claiming that Mr. John Dramani Mahama, the NDC presidential candidate, shared money with his supporters on Monday when he resumed his tour of the Bono region,” a statement from the bell. Team said.
The statement, issued by James Agyenim-Boateng, the Team Spokesman, and copied to the Ghana News Agency, said the reports were “false and entirely based on the desperate and fertile imagination of the authors.”
“For the records, and as has become typical of Mr. Mahama, he shared John Mahama 2020 branded nasal masks with people and occasionally spoke about stopping the spread of the coronavirus disease.”
The statement said Monday’s exercise was no exception to when Mahama shared several hundred nasal masks, aprons and T-shirts with his campaign brand to his followers.
Therefore, he asked the public to ignore the “fake news and lazy journalism” piece, which unsuccessfully tried to turn Mr. Mahama’s act of kindness into a weapon against his campaign.
