Ibrahimovic put AC Milan up 3-2 but could not hold the three points

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored twice, but couldn’t prevent Milan from losing points for the first time this season as they drew 3-3 with Roma.

Ibrahimovic, 39, put Milan ahead before Edin Dzeko led the tie shortly after.

Alexis Saelemaekers restored Milan’s lead, but Roma leveled again with a Jordan Veretout penalty.

Ibrahimovic made it 3-2 by converting from the point but Marash Kumbulla tied at the end.

The point extends Milan’s lead over Napoli at the top of Serie A to two points.

Swedish striker Ibrahimovic, who recovered from the coronavirus earlier this month, has scored six goals in five games so far this season.

Earlier Monday, Milan announced that goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma had tested positive for coronavirus and was replaced in the squad by veteran Ciprian Tatarusanu, who was to blame for Roma’s first goal.
