Singer-songwriter Irene Logan has revealed that she is no longer going to make secular music. The singer made this revelation when she appeared as a guest on Restoration with Stacy.

The former Stars of the future winner recounted how she came to this decision after she reluctantly attended a church service that had a pastor visiting from the UK.

According to the singer, she went to the service with the sole purpose of listening to God about whether she should continue her music. She narrated that in her eagerness to listen to God, she sat in the front hoping to get the Pastor’s attention so that she could receive answers to her situation.

She continued that the Pastor finally called her while the service was almost closing and anointed her as God’s minister, and advised her that if she seeks God’s protection, she should be a minister rather than a singer. The singer affirms that this has led her to find the true essence in Jesus Christ and the Ministry.

Irene Logan is a Ghanaian-based Liberian singer and songwriter. She gained popularity as a member of the music duo Irene and Jane, made up of her and Efya (formerly known as Miss Jane). The duo competed in the first edition of the Stars of the Future talent show in 2006, where Logan emerged as the winner. Logan started his solo career in 2009 with songs like “Runaway”, “Kabila”, “Na me dey there”, and many others. Irene Logan’s music is generally inspired by the diversity of Africa and witnesses to different cultures of the beautiful continent.
