Actress and musician, Emelia Brobbey has stated that the criticism that followed her musical debut in ‘Fameko’ never made her want to leave a career in music.
“I listened to constructive criticism and brought out what I felt would help me. Just because people have had a negative reaction to my music doesn’t mean I have to give it up and quit, ”he said.
Emelia Brobbey said backlash was expected because it takes time for people to accept diversity.
Speaking on ‘Ladies Time’ with Fire Lady on Asempa FM, Emelia Brobbey noted that her first song, ‘fameko’, did not receive a positive hype because it had a lot to learn.
“I wondered why people were complaining, what can I do about it, okay, let me learn something from this and work harder. So I corrected what needed to be corrected and I learned what I needed to learn, ”he said.
Also present was the award-winning musician, Kuame Eugene, who defended Emelia Brobbey.
According to him, the actress has learned very quickly from her debut in ‘Fameko’.
“When he first sang Fameko and remixed Bright and Wendy Shay, he showed that he had learned a lot.
“So when he got to ‘Makoma’ he had understood show business and how it works.
“Emelia is getting there, so wherever I go I say that Emelia Brobbey, Mr. Drew, among a few others, will be among the nominees for Artist of the Year in 2021, because she deserves it,” he said.
