Prophet Nigel Gaisie, founder of the Prophetic Chapel on the Hill, said that the prophecy he gave about the family of the longest-serving leader in Ghana during his 31st annual night vigil service was in Rawlings.

According to him, he spoke figuratively to avoid attacks on both his personality and the prophetic statement.

In an interview with Accra FM on Thursday, November 12, 2020, the prophet said: “I seek the face of the Lord every time the year is about to end in Adumfa. Among the prophecies for the year, God said we should pray for Rawlings and his house, but because of the attacks on me and my prophecies, I decided to speak figuratively. “

“People would have burned my church if I had come out and said that former President Rawlings will die,” he said.

The prophet Nigel Gaisie further said that Rawlings’ death could have been prevented, but it is quite unfortunate that he passed away.

“Everyone knows that God spoke through me about this prophecy and it has been fulfilled, but it is regrettable … The Bible says that the Lord reveals himself to be redeemed …”

Meanwhile, he has asked the nation to pray for the wife of the deceased, Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, to avoid strange situations.

On December 31, 2019, Nigel during a church service said that darkness was hanging around the wife of a former president. However, he was not emphatic on what that really meant.

He said: “I saw a former president who has lived and ruled for a long time … In fact, no one can ever enjoy such a reign again. I saw darkness around his wife. Let us pray for his wife.

“If she is listening to me or seeing me, a prophetess prayed for her. I saw a cloud of darkness. I know the name, but I have spoken figuratively.”

Jerry John Rawlings passed away in the Cardiothoracic Unit of Korle Bu University Hospital on Thursday, November 12, 2020, around 10 a.m.

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, announced that a state funeral will be held for the former president.
