Tourism, Creative Arts and Culture Minister Barbara Oteng Gyasi said she does not expect personalities from the creative arts sector to be charged professional fees for campaigning at Covid-19.
The initiative, expected to be implemented under the auspices of the Ministry of Information and the Creative Arts Council, seeks to engage celebrities to take advantage of their influence in educating the public about the virus.
“We recognize that people drink information differently, and it is often easier to transfer information through art pieces, so the Creative Arts Council is working with the Ministry of Information to create small skits that educate Ghanaians. about the coronavirus and protocols. ” she said.
The sector minister said JoyNews“Some funds will be made available to technical production” in the hope that those involved will not have to pay professional fees due to the global nature of the fight against the spread of the new coronavirus.
“I also do not expect our industry players to charge professional fees for this because we are all helping to combat the pandemic,” said Ms Oteng Gyasi.
Since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, celebrities have used their various platforms to educate and encourage Ghanaians to adhere to security protocols as part of measures to help control the virus.
