Huawei Technologies Ghana has opened applications for its flagship Corporate Social Responsibility Program “Seeds for the Future 2020”, which will start from October 26-30, 2020.
This is done in partnership with the Ministry of Communication, the Ministry of Education, UNESCO, the National Council for Tertiary Education, the University of Ghana, KNUST and the Ghana University of Communications Technology (GCTU).
The “Ghana Sky Seed for the Future Program”, which seeks to develop local ICT talents, enhance knowledge transfer, promote greater understanding of the telecommunications sector and enhance regional construction and engagement in the digital community, has benefited 60 university graduates since its inception in Ghana in 2015.
This year, Huawei offers spaces for up to 50 outstanding student students in the commitment to involve all universities that offer courses related to STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) in Ghana.
As part of efforts to advocate for girls in ICT, Huawei is encouraging more students to apply.
This year’s program will focus more on advanced courses such as IoT, cybersecurity, digital commerce, digital economy; Leadership courses such as Intercultural Management, Strategic Management and Leadership Skills, as well as other open ecosystem courses.
The intensive five-day program to be conducted online will provide an open ecosystem that supports online learning and participation. The program is in line with the digitization strategies of many countries and helps to cultivate a pool of ICT professionals who are crucial for the development of the industry, thus driving the growth of the ICT industry and helping to reduce fees. long-term unemployment.
Participants will have the opportunity to meet and connect with Ministers of State and senior officials from leading universities and international organizations.
They will also participate in a series of virtual technology talks with professionals in the technology space and a virtual tour of Huawei’s headquarters in China to learn more about the latest technologies.
Participants of the 2020 Huawei Ghana Sky Seeds for the Future program will receive free data to participate in all activities and courses, as well as the opportunity to receive various surprises in the form of gifts and rewards ranging from Huawei smartphones, shopping vouchers, Huawei free. To participate in this year’s program, interested persons must:
- Being a college student, 2North Dakota Year (level 200) onwards and must offer STEM related courses
