Last year, on October 9, 2020, I sent an email to one of ModernGhana’s news editors, saying: “Good morning sir, I can see that right now in Ghana, the political situation in the country is very dangerous due to the upcoming elections. “
“Even after writing a positive article on Akufo Addo’s handling of the coronavirus, it still generated unfriendly comments. I don’t want to be a part of him with articles that could cause political instability between the NDC and the PNP. I will, so I will. So I put down my pen for a while until the elections are over. “
“Big decision,” was the editor’s reply. Why am I writing this, Mr. Okoampa-Ahoofe? By actively contributing regularly to ‘ModernGhana News’ as a columnist, I can say that I am one of the writers who was frequently attacked on a daily basis with insults with different names than any of the writers.
The fact that John Mahama has already been declared corrupt by Ghanaians and is no longer president, I focused my articles on Akufo Addo who said he is against corruption, but many people refused to understand or accept the message and constantly He accused me of being a member of the nuclear power plant.
They said I hate Akufo Addo, the reason why I came out with harsh posts against him, but this is the same treatment or discipline that we receive from our parents who want to educate their children to be good people in society. Our parents never spared any effort to raise us as bad children because they like to hear that their son or daughter is a good boy or girl.
I don’t hate anyone in Ghana and I am not affiliated with any political party, but since I am Ghanaian, I want my country to be good for me to have a better stay like all ordinary Ghanaians at any time when I am on pension.
Mr. Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe, if you are really sincere and can go back in time, go back and compile all the articles I wrote about Akufo Addo, and you will see that everything I said has been fulfilled. I’m not a prophet, but whatever, I said about Akufo Addo and what will happen in Ghana after being declared the winner has happened.
Because I did not forgive the stick to spoil the child, while you refused to address the serious problems faced by the government of Akufo Addo for being related to him. Today I can beat my chest with the confidence that you are responsible for the fall of the Akudo Addo government and for the chaotic political situation in the country.
I live in Belgium for more than two decades, looking for political information from the institutions is as easy as ABC if you have the correct credentials, however, I refused to publish anything about the corruption and money laundering scandal that affected the Embassy of Ghana in Belgium, leader in closing the embassy accounts in the ING bank, firstly because it was close to the elections and secondly, I want to avoid being attacked for hating Akufo Addo.
One of my articles on Modern Ghana News; was addressed to the Minister of Information, Hon. Kojo Vincent Oppong Nkrumah, pleading to ask Nana Akufo Addo to take over the incomplete projects, including hospitals, left by the NDC government. Surprisingly, some Ghanaians attacked me for that article.
Wouldn’t it have been a great achievement, with much support and respect for Nana Akufo Addo, to have taken on the projects as the hospitals would have served a significant purpose in this dangerous period of COVID 19 in the country?
Mr. Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe has written more than 5,000 articles if any Ghanaian cares, discover in his articles the one who spoke out against the corruption scandals that tarnished the image of the current Ghanaian leader who promised to fight corruption after the Ghanaians will declare Mahama. and corrupt NDC?
I blame him for the current political situation in Ghana and the problems facing Akufo Addo because if you are really interested in the suffering of ordinary Ghanaians and you care about Akufo Addo again, you would have spared no effort to let Akufo Addo face it. Such an ugly political scene in the country.
Akufo Addo was eliminated, I wish him good luck as president.
